Welcome to 365 Tales, an exciting new venue for the creative mind! Our goal is to provide an outlet for the creation of microfiction, with the eventual result of being able to offer readers at least one new story every day. Will we ever get there? I have no idea. It’ll probably be fun, anyway.“What’s microfiction?” you ask.

Microfiction, also sometimes called “flash fiction”, is essentially an ultrashort story, usually written with a specific word count target in mind. It’s the literary equivalent of a snack, yet is often strangely satisfying.

Writing microfiction is easy, in that it presents a specific goal to work towards, a goal that is in reach of almost any would-be author… and difficult in its own way, in that once you get going it can be challenging to set a compelling scene within the limit

So, make sure you read our Submission Guidelines and then give it a try!

Oh, and just as a reminder… if you don’t put *finished* (with the asterisks) at the end of your draft, I won’t know it’s ready to go live.
