Edward I
Posted by Chryssie on May 7th, 2008 filed in Series, Slice Of LifeA day in the life of Edward, a normal office worker…
Edward got up from his chair and walked over to the photocopier. He set it up and started his copying. Then he went to make himself a cup of coffee.
Sipping it slowly, Edward contemplated his life. Right now, it seemed to be completely consumed by his work. He thought this was probably unhealthy, but since his girlfriend had dumped him, he didn’t have anything else to do.
Over on the other side of the office, Gavin paused in his typing to look up and exchange a knowing glance with Marcia. They’d seen all this before. But Edward ignored them, so deep he was in his musing.
Slowly, his life was falling apart. Edward sighed. It just wasn’t fair. But then, Edward reasoned, life wasn’t fair. He would just have to live with that.
The photocopier stopped. Edward put down his coffee and went to collect his copies. On the way he passed Marcia on her way to the stationary cupboard. She gave him a weird look.
“Why do you always talk about yourself in the third person?”
