Edward II

“But Edward is the third person…he always is…”
Marcia looked at Edward like he was crazy. He just smiled and continued on his way to the photocopier. He glanced over his shoulder and saw her rummaging through the overflowing cupboard. She’d be a while.
When she finally turned around and saw Edward standing over Gavin’s body, holding a bloody kitchen knife in his hand, she screamed.
“What are you doing, you crazy bastard!?!”
You look up from the body, grinning. You think it is quite obvious that, as the saying goes, three’s a crowd. Two is a much better number.
Marcia starts backing away slowly. You can tell she is scared. You throw the knife aside, to show her you mean her no harm. You just…needed Gavin out of the picture. After all, you really do hate being the third wheel.
“You’re insane! Get away from me, you freak!”
You didn’t even realise you’d moved closer. But you can’t say you’re really that sorry when she runs for the door. Everything is going according to plan.

Just in case people are confused, the direct quotation marks are for speech that is spoken directly to someone else, and everything else is Edward’s monologue (spoken outloud).
